The first introduction of this newly described species of evergreen blueberry from the cloud forests of the China/Myanmar frontier. This epiphytic species, like most epiphytic Vaccinium and Agapetes species, eventually forms a massive lignotuber at its base. This new introduction features long pendant stems with shiny lanceolate leaves up to about 1.5 inches long, each with a long acuminate drip tip (a feature common in monsoon climates). The pink flowers are arranged in short racemes in the leaf axils. Best in a container in colder regions. A stunning foliage plant.
