This evergreen blueberry forms a dwarf and compact shrub with tiny (one-half inch long) rounded to obovate leaves tightly arranged on short leaf stalks along the stems. The leaves are smooth, deep glossy green, and somewhat convex, with reddish new growth. The small urn-shaped flowers are white flushed pink in short racemes at the ends of the stems, followed by clusters of small purple-black blueberries in summer. Native to the Sino-Himalaya, where it occurs as an epiphyte in large trees and on cliffs and rocks. A Far Reaches Farm collection from the Sino-Himalaya – this form has the smallest leaves of any we have seen.
