A newly introduced species forming large, upright-growing shrubs with spectacular foliage and flowers. The very large and fragrant flowers are white to pink and occur in impressive inflorescences of up to 18 flowers in mid-summer. These showy blossoms are followed by vigorous new growth with remarkably large leaves. Fine in sun or shade, the foliage will be much larger in the shade. A strong-growing, adaptable garden plant. This offering has been grown from hand-pollinated seed produced here at the RSBG.
