This is an upright-growing shrub with interesting short-stalked leaves and bell-shaped flowers in early spring. The flowers range tremendously in color, from white, through cream, yellow, pink, red and purple. These are grown from hand pollinated seed produced here at the RSBG. Native to subalpine forests and clearings and so best in light shade with good drainage. Our first offering in 22 years!
