A beautiful camellia with large, semi-double flowers verging to the formal double form. These appear in mid-spring and are two-toned, white suffusing to pink on the edges and are very elegant. The spent flowers shed quickly. Very glossy foliage, best in light shade. Quite lovely and uncommon in cultivation – it is said to be very cold hardy (for a camellia).
