A very distinct species with long and very narrow, stiff and rigid leaves which are “canoe-shaped” in cross section. A stunning plant for foliage effect with the bonus of white flushed pink flowers in early summer, long after the main burst of spring bloom. Worth growing for its subtropical appearing foliage alone. A rarely offered, cold tolerant and completely unmistakable species.
A beautiful dwarf to medium-growing species with striking foliage and attractive flowers. This plant has a relatively low mounding habit with a deep reddish-brown indumentum on the undersides of the ovate, very glossy leaves. This clone with white flushed pink flowers in late spring. Best in sun or light shade with good drainage. Only a few available this year but nice large specimens. Rarely offered due to propagation difficulties.
