This was a hand-pollination done here at the RSBG which will hopefully result in a ‘Loderi’ type plant with a more compact habit, rounded leaves, and attractive and fragrant(?) flowers. These should flower in shades of pink in mid-spring and these young plants are already exhibiting very attractive foliage. Ken Cox at Glendoick Gardens Nursery did this same cross and said the results were outstanding.
