This is a pendulous evergreen perennial related to African Violets. The firm and narrow glossy leaves hang in pairs on the pendant branches. This species with large and bright orange flowers on very long pendulous pedicels held well out from the glossy foliage. Best in a hanging basket or on an old stump (in mild gardens). Can also be used as a houseplant. Almost certainly new to cultivation. A collection from the Sino-Himalaya.

A stunning species we first introduced into cultivation in 2005. The long arching stems are lined with small and glossy pointed leaves. The striking pendant flowers of deep red tipped with bright green hang in clusters from the leaf axils over a long season from winter into early spring. These are followed by glossy “blueberries” of darkest red that look more like ripe cherries! A fantastic new introduction. Best in a hanging wire/moss basket or in an old stump or log in milder regions.
This is a widespread and variable species of Jack-in-the-Pulpit, native to much of eastern Asia including Russia, China and Korea. It features green flowers, typically striped with white or purple. A very hardy and easily grown species. This is our first offering of this excellent woodland wildflower. Blooming size plants.
This is a very large-leafed herbaceous perennial which can reach five feet in height under ideal conditions. The huge (to two feet across!) round deciduous leaves are peltate (like an umbrella) and bristly pubescent with an irregularly lobed margin. The white flowers are borne in a slightly nodding panicle (like an Astilbe) in early summer. A stunning accent plant for cool, moist humus-rich soils. Excellent in the woodland garden or near water. Choice and always a “conversation piece”. Native to Manchuria and North Korea so very tolerant of cold temps. A great perennial plant - rarely offered.
An extremely rare evergreen shrub or small tree in cultivation. This taxon is sometimes included within the variable A. chinensis complex. This distinct species has very large and leathery leaves that are quite glossy and very coarsely toothed. It tends to grow more in the shape of a small tree rather than a bushy shrub like most other Aucuba species and cultivars. Our first offering of this choice ornamental which will add a very "tropical" look to your garden.
The Hardy Variegated Begonia is a stunning species found growing naturally in the mountains of the Sino-Himalaya. This relatively hardy species features large palmate leaves with striking variegation and rose-pink flowers. Mulch heavily in winter to protect the roots, the plant will not emerge until early summer. Fine in a container. Our first offering of this choice wildflower.
