This is a large-growing Fortunea and is similar to the species \u003cem\u003efortunei\u003c\/em\u003e but with much larger and longer, very shiny leaves. The flowers are somewhat similar as well but more purple-pink (darker than those of \u003cem\u003eR. fortunei\u003c\/em\u003e) and about a month earlier in the season. These are grown from hand-pollinated seed produced here at the RSBG from plants grown from wild seed.
